Planet Mino Warringah Mall: The Ultimate Kids Café for Working Mums & Playdates

One of the most amazing things about raising kids in Australia is the incredible variety of activities and places to visit—especially family-friendly spaces like kids cafés, where children can play while adults can actually get things done. Places like Planet Mino Warringah Mall truly make life easier for parents.

As a full-time working mum (and business owner of Tolu Australia) and a full-time mum of two—soon to be three—having places where I can juggle both work and parenting is essential. Especially on days when I have scheduled meetings or deadlines to meet. This is exactly why kids cafés like Planet Mino have become my best friend.

Today started early, packing orders we received overnight, and then we headed to Warringah Mall—a Westfield shopping centre in the Northern Beaches of Sydney that truly has it all. It’s not just about shopping; it has amazing summer vibes, entertainment for kids, great restaurants and cafés. It feels more like a living centre than a traditional shopping mall. It’s the kind of place where mums take their kids to spend the day, relax and have fun.

One of its highlights is Planet Mino, a beautiful, all-in-one kids café and indoor play centre located on the ground floor near Kmart.

📍 Location: Shop 272/145 Old Pittwater Rd, Brookvale NSW 2100 (Ground Floor of the Westfield Warringah Mall. Close to Kmart)

We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Martha and Natalia, the managers, whose customer service is truly exceptional. After taking off our shoes (don’t forget your anti-slip socks—adults and kids!) and our Tolu Australia colourful kids board shorts, we grabbed coffees and snacks from their café, which offers a great selection of food and drinks (kitchen closes at 3 pm).

The play area is huge, and while the kids were busy playing, I had time to sit down and catch up with other mum friends we invited along. In the photo hereunder are Tatiana, owner of Sashaboo Interactive T-Shirts, and Ysabel, owner of SnoozyMonkey Inflatable Travel Beds. We chatted about business while the kids explored endless play options.

From the pretend sushi bar and kids’ veterinary clinic, to the dedicated 0–2 years play area, the make-up room with prams and baby dolls, and my personal favourite—the mini supermarket, where kids grab their own trolleys, shop for groceries and “pay” at the checkout—there is something for every age and interest.

For the more adventurous little ones, there are obstacle courses leading to slides that drop into a ball pit, keeping them entertained for hours.

While the kids played safely in the enclosed space alongside their friends, I was able to take an important Zoom meeting—and actually focus—knowing they were happy and having fun.

After almost three hours of play, we said goodbye, once again greeted with warm smiles as the staff waved us off at the exit.

As a bonus, you’ll also find essentials like Aldi, Kmart, Woolworths, plus great shopping, food courts, parent rooms and spacious parking all in one place.

And if you’re feeling adventurous, take the B-Line double-decker bus from Wynyard, which drops you right at the mall entrance. I’ve taken it with my kids before, and they absolutely love the double-deck experience—and you’re back in the city in no time.

So, if you’re looking for a place to relax, get some work done, attend online meetings, or simply meet up with other mums for a playdate, I genuinely recommend a visit to Planet Mino at Warringah Mall.
