Watsons Bay, a scenic gem in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, is the perfect family destination with a full day of activities for everyone. Whether you’re looking for beach time, nature, or local culture, you’ll find it here!

Morning at the Beach & Playground Fun

Start your day by arriving early at Watsons Bay by ferry. Take the kids on a short but fun ferry ride to Circular Quay. The ferry offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge, providing a memorable experience for both parents and children. Settle down on the beach to let the kids run free. They can splash in the water, build sandcastles, or explore the playground nearby. The calm waters and sandy shores are ideal for young children. Don’t forget to bring your SandPal sand bricks builder!

Once you’ve had some beach time, take a short stroll over to Camp Cove, a serene and secluded beach tucked away from the main bay area. Known for its crystal-clear water and peaceful vibes, this is a great spot to relax or snorkel while the kids paddle in the shallow waters. Get a natural orange juice from the Camp Cove Kiosk Cafe.

Lunch & Watsons Bay Spring Market

By lunchtime, make your way to Robertson Park, where the Watsons Bay Spring Market will be in full swing on Sunday, October 20th, from 10am to 4pm. Browse the wide variety of stalls offering handmade crafts, local produce, and family-friendly products. Be sure to stop by Tolu Australia’s Stand L5, where you can pick up some stylish ponchos for your kids and matching swimwear for dads and sons! These lightweight, quick-drying ponchos are perfect for keeping the little ones comfy after their beach adventures, and the matching swimwear will add a fun twist to your family outings.

After shopping, grab some iconic takeaway fish and chips from Doyles on the Beach. Settle down on the grass in Robertson Park, under the shade of the trees, and enjoy your meal with stunning views of the harbour and the city skyline.

Afternoon Adventures:

After a relaxing lunch, head over to Watsons Bay Library, a cozy spot where the kids can enjoy some quiet reading time or interactive children’s activities if available. It’s a lovely way to take a break before continuing the day’s fun.

For the history lovers in the family, take a coastal walk to visit the Hornby Lighthouse, an iconic red-and-white striped lighthouse located near the entrance to Sydney Harbour. The scenic walk offers panoramic views, perfect for photos, and you can even teach the kids about the rich history of the area.

Ending the Day in Style

As the day winds down, treat the family to some ice cream from one of the local cafes, and enjoy it as you stroll along the beach. Wrap your little ones in their cozy Tolu Australia ponchos to keep them warm as the evening cools. The soft, stylish ponchos are perfect for a beach day that transitions into a relaxed evening by the water.
